Schaeffler Friction Products is a certified company (ISO/TS 16949:2002 und DIN EN ISO 14001) with about 600 employees, located in Morbach/Germany and Suzhou/China.

The name Schaeffler Friction Products stands for Competence, Innovation, Global Partnership in Research and also for a big experience in friction linings. For these reasons products made by Schaeffler Friction Products have serial release with all important vehicle manufacturers worldwide. The driving technology also counts on Schaeffler Friction Products worldwide.

A point, important for us, is the ecological responsibility. A great step is the abdication of solvents at the yarn reinforcement for the production of clutch facings. In this process, developed by us (LMF), the friction cement is not dissolved anymore in solvents, but applied dry (without solvents) onto the yarn. This new way shows high potentials as smaller endangering the environment, smaller energy demand, higher reliability, a smaller range of the parameters in the manufacturing, more degrees of freedom during the raw material selection and a considerably more compact manufacturing.

The development of new qualities, the basis to continue our success, is performed at our headquarters in Morbach. The evolution of new qualities requires an objective assessment of characteristics. Therefore, the facts of the material properties occur by reproducible investigations on our 23 test rigs. We consider a valuation of our materials in the original aggregates as necessary because only you know the exact purpose.
